BCC MAY 2013 Newsletter

The Broadneck Council of Communites (BCC) is involved in activites on the Peninsula to support the protection of our Critical Area environment, smart growth and responsible development and safeguards for our property values.

We are pleased to bring you our May, 2013 Broadneck Council Newsletter featuring highlights and priorities of our 2013 programs and initiatives. The Broadneck area has been represented on the Anne Arundel County Special Advisory Committee (SAC) for the 2009 General Development Plan (GDP) by the BCC Board of Directors. Many months of work was dedicated to this work effort with positive results achieved that contributed to growth management in the Broadneck area. Current priorities include improved transportation from the Severn River Bridge through Route #50 (and #2 North), and across the Bay Bridge and Kent Island. The BCC is supporting a plan by the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA), to study and determine the condition of the current Bridge structure. This study will help improve the safety of our travelers and ensure responsible planning for the future of this major artery.

We continue to work to support the Broadneck Peninsula and will provide you additional information through our communications media.
