PLANNING & ZONING – Walnut Hill
The BCC is working with the County on a solution for noise reduction at Walnut Hill Landscaping Company on 1563 St. Margaret’s Road. The business is operating on 2.3 acres in a Residential Low Density (RLD) zone. Walnut Hill was initially operating as a nursery under a ‘Conditional Use’ approved by the
County but the organization has evolved into a landscaping business involving large commercial vehicles.
The BCC action has been prompted by complaints that the quality of life and the value of neighbor’s properties have been adversely affected by the sound of trucks dumping loads of debris into dumpsters, transport vehicles and workers’ activities that begin as early as 7:00 AM.
