Welcome to a new year and new challenges for our Broadneck Peninsula residents. We have fought and won some battles for the Broadneck during the past year and thank members of our BCC Board and the Community organizations with whom we work. We also value our collegial relationship among community leaders and wish to acknowledge the Growth Action Network (GAN) lead by Ann Fligsten. We closely align with GAN as Board Members and work together in support of controlled growth within the Broadneck and AA County. Our leadership is focused on issues dealing with critical areas, land use, property values, cluster development, traffic corridors and environmental protection. We continue our involvement with County and State Gov officials on Broadneck priorities. We are also grateful to Senator Ed Reilly for his strong support.
We ask you to calendar the next BCC General Members’ Meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 12th at 7:30 PM in the Cape St. Claire Clubhouse-1223 Bay View Road when our County Executive-Steve Schuh will be our guest speaker. Steve will present an informal program with an opening presentation and an overview of his Administration’s challenges and achievements during his first term in office. We will then open it up for dialogue with attendees. Please send advance notices to your Community members to ensure a solid turnout for Steve. We have many topics/concerns to bring forward so this is your chance. Over-development with increased variances and special exceptions will be topics for discussion as well as critical areas, storm water management, watershed pollution and the 2019 GDP.
