Subject: Senate Bill # 107, Bay Bridge

Dear Senator,

I wish to express my strong support for the passage of SB #107 to provide Anne Arundel County with the authority to influence the proper crossing of the Chesapeake Bay in a future crossing construction.

It is important that all of the Senators and Delegates who represent Anne Arundel County’s various segments in the General Assembly support this bill.

I am copying our District 33 delegates, and hope that all of you will enlist the support and energy of all Senators and all Delegates who cover portions of Anne Arundel County. We are all impacted by the approaching decisions on a new crossing. Quality of life in our County would be seriously degraded if all eastbound and westbound traffic in the future decades transited only Anne Arundel County.

Thank you for your service to our Anne Arundel County.

A second version:
Dear Senator Reilly,
I strongly support for the passage of SB #107 to provide Anne Arundel County with the authority to influence the proper crossing of the Chesapeake Bay in a future crossing construction.

It is the height of hypocrisy for Eastern Shore senators to claim it is not proper for AA Co. to have the same power they are not willing to let go of.

It is important that all of the Senators and Delegates who represent Anne Arundel County’s various segments in the General Assembly support this bill.

I hope that all our representatives will enlist the support and energy of all Senators and all Delegates who cover portions of Anne Arundel County to fight for and twist arms of committee members to give AA Co. a fair shake and equal rights in protecting our quality of life. We are all impacted by the approaching decisions on a new crossing.

Quality of life in our County would be seriously degraded if all future eastbound and westbound traffic across the bay in the future decades transited only Anne Arundel County.

Thank you for your service to our Anne Arundel County.
