Destiny Circle and College Parkway Improvement

A safe entrance maintenance action has just been completed for the Destiny Circle intersection with College Parkway for eastbound vehicles’ entry into Magothy Meadows. The modifications include a through passing lane eastbound to avoid following a vehicle turning into Destiny Circle. Also installed were temporary flashing yellow pedestrian signal lights and a striped crosswalk for safety. Shortly the speed limit will also be reduced to 40 MPH in that area.

Through persistent follow up with the County DPW over the past year by the BCC and Magothy Meadows Community this action finally was completed. It is the interim step of a long term solution that will involve major curb and lane modifications and permanent lighting.
