Community Meeting with AA County Executive, Steuart Pittman

The Broadneck Council of Communities invites all residents of this Peninsula to meet with AA County Executive, Steuart Pittman.

Thursday night, May 19th, at 7:00PM

Cape St. Claire Clubhouse
1223 River Bay Rd, Annapolis, MD 21409
TOPICS:
– The major challenges we are facing with summer beach traffic on our Rte #50/301 highway and service roads.

– A ferry service that will focus on tourist based trips (no vehicles) from the City Dock to stops along the Chesapeake Bay.

– The potential of turning Holly Beach Farm into a National Park through the National Park Trust. It is currently deeded to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
– An opportunity for Questions and Answers to discuss these changes to the Broadneck Peninsula and other traffic concerns.

We are aware of the many challenges our residents and Bay Bridge travelers face in returning home to the Broadneck from June through September as well as the delays caused by long traffic lines for Bridge crossings to reach E. Shore properties or further travel to the Delaware and Maryland beaches.

CE Pittman will focus on summer travel challenges but hopes to cover some other subjects such as crime/public safety, education et al. – if time allows. Our major intent for this meeting is to cover traffic issues on this Peninsula and engage our AA County Executive in efforts to safeguard our Broadneck citizens from further summer traffic bottlenecks.
