Survey and Metered Traffic Test – The Results!

The online survey and Oceanic Drive Ramp metered traffic test results will be presented on October 12th (7PM) at a BCC/State Highway Administration follow-up meeting in the Cape St. Claire Clubhouse, 1223 River Bay Rd.
Kim Trans, the District #5 Engineer, will be the SHA speaker for the night, to present the study results. The metered traffic light pilot on the Oceanic Drive ramp operating during the first two weekends in August, resulted in slowing down vehicles who jumped off of Rt #50/301 onto the service roads to avoid highway traffic. The traffic at east-bound Exit #32 on ramp was controlled by a temporary traffic light that managed the of all vehicles onto Rt #50 east.
