ALL BROADNECK PENINSULA RESIDENTS- PLEASE JOIN US TOMORROW!

Thursday, 2/27/20, at 7:30pm at the Cape St. Claire I.A. Clubhouse – 1223 River Bay Road.

The Broadneck Council of Communities (BCC) is hosting our 1Q 2020 General Meeting for all residents of the Broadneck Peninsula.

February is a key month as we are midway through the General Assembly, the County Council has passed/introduced legislation important to our District-5 and… also-we are getting ready for 2020 elections.

JUDICIAL CANDIDATES
We are fortunate to have with us our four AAC Circuit Court Judges who are running for election- as well as Wes Adams, (former State’s Attorney) who is also running for a judgeship in our County. They will briefly present their credentials and election platforms.

LEGISLATIVE REVIEW
Our D-33 Senator, Ed  Reilly and our four Delegates–Heather Bagnall, Michael Malone and Sid Saab, will speak on their initiatives in this year’s General Assembly session.

Councilwoman, Amanda Fiedler, will present her County Legislation that is of great importance to the Broadneck Peninsula residents. Are you aware that the Broadneck has been stripped of its designation as a Peninsula? Why and what are we doing about it??

FUTURE STORMWATER AND SEWER PLANS
Our AA County Government speaker is Matt Johnson, the Director of Environmental Policy. Matt’s subject is Stormwater Management and Pollution Controls/Septic to Sewer for Communities (such as Amberley) that is designated as a key target for conversion to public sewer for septic replacement. The status of AA Co. targeted septic concerns will be reviewed as well as the potential plans and costs to bring in sewer replacement for areas on the Broadneck Peninsula.

A significant amount of work has been dedicated to bringing these elected officials to speak to the Broadneck Peninsula residents. Please come, and hopefully stay afterwords to enjoy refreshments and a ‘meet and greet’ opportunity to ask questions of our speakers and provide your comments.

Please call if you have questions–(410) 757-3231.
