BROADNECK 2016 Year in Review Pt. 7 – Cluster Development Loopholes

Representatives from GAN (Growth Action network), APC (Arnold Preservation Council) and the BCC (Broadneck Council of Communities) have been asked by the County Office of Planning and Zoning to “negotiate” a Bill for Cluster Development which has been under review for over one year. The purpose of the Bill is to tighten up the mushy language to ensure proper protection of the “undeveloped” portion of land used for cluster development.

Developers want to increase the density of clustered homes allowed to be built on zoned properties. Our Councils are opposed. The zoning code must prevail. This Bill is still active before the Council and our mutual Boards continue to fight for the Broadneck to protect our current landowners’ rights.
