Mosquito Control Update

Meeting:  Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 7:30 pm

Invites Broadneck Peninsula and Arnold residents to meet with  Michael Cantwell, the director of Mosquito Control for the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) and participate in a review of current procedures, practices and facts associated with the spraying of chemicals to help control the mosquito population on the peninsula.

MDA will provide this update to include:
1) The risk factors for the west nile virus infection—(which Michael contracted several years ago)
2) Recent data regarding the chemicals used to kill the adult tiger mosquito and possible effects from these treatments on plant and animal life in our neighborhoods.

Location:  Cape St. Claire Improvement Association clubhouse-1223 River Bay Road,  (at the end of Cape St. Claire Rd— about 1 mile past Graul’s -one block to the right).

Refreshments will be served.
