North East Heavy Downpours is Our Future

The just released 2014 Climate Assessment report describes current effects of the warming planet. The area of most concern locally (the North Eastern USA) is the 30% increase in heavy downpours since 1960. What are the implications for stormwater management here in Anne Arundel County? Our building codes require a construction site to retain a specific number of inches of rain in a storm event. This quantity was set years ago. Is it still sufficient to protect our streams, creeks and Bay?
